Nature of Services

RIVICA provides investigative services including, but not limited to:

  • Surveillance and behavioural verification

  • Witness and person locates

  • Background checks

  • Corporate and workplace investigations

  • Personal and relationship investigations

  • Evidence gathering and reporting

  • Court testimony and expert support

The scope of each engagement will be defined during consultation and confirmed prior to commencement.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

Investigations are inherently unpredictable. While RIVICA applies professional skill, experience, and diligence to every matter:

  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes, results, or findings

  • We do not guarantee that evidence will support a particular position

  • Outcomes depend on circumstances beyond our control

All findings are based on observations, evidence gathered, and information available at the time of investigation.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is fundamental to our work.

  • All client information is handled in strict confidence

  • Information is not disclosed to third parties unless:

    • required by law, or

    • authorised by the client

Clients are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information they provide to RIVICA.

Legal Compliance

If a requested activity is unlawful or inappropriate, RIVICA reserves the right to decline or modify the engagement.

Consultations

Initial consultations may be offered free of charge unless otherwise stated.

Consultations are:

  • Informational only

  • Not legal advice

  • Not a commitment to commence an investigation

RIVICA may decline to proceed with a matter at its discretion.

Fees & Payment

Fees may be charged on a:

  • Fixed‑fee basis

  • Hourly basis

  • Retainer arrangement

Fee structures will be explained prior to engagement.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Invoices must be paid within the stated payment terms

  • Late payments may delay or suspend services

All fees are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

Retainers

Retainer arrangements are offered for clients requiring ongoing investigative support.

  • Retainers do not guarantee availability at all times

  • Unused retainer funds may be subject to expiry or rollover terms, as agreed

  • Retainer terms will be documented separately

Evidence & Reports

All reports, photographs, video footage, and documentation:

  • Remain the intellectual property of RIVICA until full payment is received

  • Are provided for the client’s stated purpose only

  • Must not be altered, misrepresented, or used out of context

RIVICA is not responsible for how third parties interpret evidence.

Court Use & Legal Proceedings

Where investigations are conducted for legal matters:

  • Evidence is gathered to professional standards

  • Court admissibility depends on judicial discretion

  • RIVICA does not provide legal advice

Any court testimony or expert evidence is provided honestly and independently.
